This Refund & Payment Policy outlines the terms and conditions for purchasing ForgeScroll Coins, our virtual currency used to unlock premium content on the platform. By purchasing coins, you agree to the terms outlined in this policy.

Coin Purchases

ForgeScroll Coins are virtual currency purchased with real money and used to unlock chapters and support authors on our platform.

  • Payment Processing: All transactions are securely processed through Stripe
  • Instant Delivery: Coins are added to your account immediately upon successful payment
  • Account-Bound: Coins are non-transferable between accounts
  • Pricing: Coin prices are displayed in USD and may vary by package size
  • Taxes: Applicable taxes will be added at checkout based on your location
No Refund Policy

All coin purchases are final and non-refundable. This policy applies because:

  • Coins are delivered instantly and cannot be "returned" once credited to your account
  • Coins represent access to digital content that cannot be "un-consumed"
  • Refunds would be subject to abuse and unfair to content creators

We encourage you to carefully review coin packages before purchasing. If you have concerns about a purchase, contact support before buying.

Exceptions to No Refund Policy

We may issue refunds or coin credits in the following exceptional circumstances:

  • Duplicate Charges: If you were charged multiple times for the same purchase due to a technical error
  • Payment Errors: If your payment was processed but coins were not credited to your account
  • Unauthorized Transactions: If your account was compromised and purchases were made without your permission (requires verification)
  • Platform Error: If a technical issue on our end prevented proper coin delivery or usage

To request a refund for exceptional circumstances, contact billing@forgescroll.com within 7 days of the transaction with proof of the issue.

Content Removal or Unavailability

If content you purchased becomes unavailable:

  • Author Deletion: If an author removes chapters or novels after you've unlocked them, you will not receive a refund. However, previously unlocked content may remain accessible in your library where technically feasible.
  • Policy Violations: If content is removed for violating our Content Guidelines, no refunds will be issued
  • Platform Issues: If ForgeScroll experiences technical problems preventing access to purchased content, we will restore access or issue coin credits

We encourage authors to maintain published content, but cannot guarantee permanent availability of any specific work.

Author Revenue Share

When you spend coins to unlock chapters:

  • 70% goes to the author who created the content
  • 30% goes to ForgeScroll for platform operations, payment processing, and support

Authors receive payments monthly for coins spent on their content, subject to minimum payout thresholds and verification requirements. Author payout terms are detailed in our Author Agreement.

Chargebacks and Disputes

Important: Filing a chargeback instead of contacting us first may result in account suspension.

  • If you dispute a legitimate charge with your bank, we reserve the right to suspend your account
  • Suspended accounts lose access to all unlocked content and remaining coin balance
  • Account reinstatement requires resolving the chargeback and may include additional fees
  • Repeated chargebacks will result in permanent account termination

We understand mistakes happen. Please contact us first if you have concerns about a charge, and we'll work with you to resolve the issue.

Payment Security
  • All payments are processed through Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant payment processor
  • ForgeScroll does not store your credit card information
  • All transactions use industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS)
  • Payment information is tokenized and secured by Stripe
  • You can review transaction history in your account settings

If you notice unauthorized activity on your account, immediately change your password and contact security@forgescroll.com.

Coin Expiration and Account Closure

Coin Expiration

Coins do not expire as long as your account remains active and in good standing.

Voluntary Account Closure

If you voluntarily close your ForgeScroll account, all unused coins will be forfeited. Coins cannot be refunded or transferred upon account closure. Previously unlocked content will no longer be accessible once your account is closed.

Account Termination by ForgeScroll

If your account is terminated by ForgeScroll for violations of our Terms of Service or Content Guidelines, all coins will be forfeited without refund.

Inactive Accounts

Accounts inactive for more than 3 years may be subject to closure. We will send notification emails before closing inactive accounts. Coins in inactive accounts may be forfeited if the account is not reactivated within the notice period.

Changes to This Policy

ForgeScroll reserves the right to modify this Refund & Payment Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the platform. Your continued use of ForgeScroll after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified policy. Material changes will be communicated via email or platform notification.
